On April 30, 2020, Ropes & Gray’s anti-corruption and international risk attorneys hosted the second event in their virtual “Cafecito con Ropes & Gray” series. The casual, Chatham House Rule virtual roundtable discussions aim to address anti-bribery and anti-corruption concerns for businesses operating in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attendees included firm clients and compliance officers operating in Latin America.
The first session on April 15 examined historical corruption cases during prior humanitarian crises. Upcoming Cafecito con Ropes & Gray roundtables providing opportunities to share thought leadership and experiences on navigating the global pandemic in Latin America include (dates to follow):
- Data Privacy Concerns for Latin America Businesses with guest speaker Ed McNicholas
- Sanctions and Export Considerations for Suppliers of COVID-19 Relief Items to Latin American Jurisdictions with guest speaker Ama Adams
