On April 6, María González Calvet, co-chair of the firm’s anticorruption and international risk and Latin America practices, co-hosted an interactive Portuguese-language virtual women’s event with Charles River Associates. Cynthia Catlett, Vice President at Charles River Associates, was co-host and moderator of the discussion, which included Beatriz Rosito, EMEA People Operations Lead of Food+ by Compass, and Renata Oki, Business Director Personal Care – South America of BASF S.A.
The discussion centered around the commonly felt phenomenon known as “imposter syndrome” and the sense of inadequacy in the workplace that many women – including Sheryl Sandberg and Michelle Obama – struggle with at different points in their careers. The speakers shared their own personal experiences and insights, and they discussed skills they have learned to overcome this feeling and succeed at work.
More than 100 female business professionals joined the virtual event. A live English translation was also provided.
