Health care partner Margaux Hall, who leads the firm’s drug pricing and price reporting group, will join a panel of attorneys as part of an External Counsel Fireside Roundtable addressing the most pressing issues on Medicaid drug rebate and government drug pricing at the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program Summit in Chicago on September 20.
In addition, Margaux and litigation & enforcement partner and co-chair John Bueker will present a session on “Post-Supervalu: The Future of Government Enforcement Around Drug Pricing.” They will discuss the implications of the recent U.S. Supreme Court False Claims Act case United States ex rel. Schutte v. SuperValu Inc. and the FCA case Sheldon v. Allergan, with insights for companies navigating the complexity of government price reporting.
The session will examine how biopharmaceutical industry manufacturers can mitigate risk in light of enforcement trends and the recent court decisions, including the role of reasonable assumptions and other proactive steps.
The summit is focused on evolving federal and state regulatory Medicaid guidelines and compliance strategies on government program reporting and reimbursements.
