On March 9, hedge funds partners Sarah Davidoff and Laurel FitzPatrick (both of New York) participated in the IBA’s 16th Annual International Conference on Private Investment Funds in London. Ms. Davidoff spoke on a panel titled “Hybrid Funds,” which highlighted three types of hybrid funds: activists, distressed/credit strategies and private equity lite structures. Ms. FitzPatrick spoke on a panel titled “AIVs, parallel funds and club deals,” which explored the reasons for creating investor consent rights, the relationship to main fund, fees and liquidity terms and governance mechanics versus main fund.
