Intellectual property litigation counsel Evan Gourvitz (New York) was quoted in an Aug. 4 Bloomberg BNA’s Patent, Trademark and Copyright Journal article on federal prosecutors’ attempts to seize a motorcycle gang’s trademark registrations.
Mr. Gourvitz explains that, while the U.S. Justice Department may want to prevent members of the Mongols Nation Motorcycle Club from wearing or otherwise using their gang colors, trademark law, or an attempt to seize the Mongols’ trademarks, is unlikely to achieve this goal.
