Health care partner Michael Lampert (Boston) is co-author of a new manual published by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) titled “Representing Hospitals and Health Systems Handbook.” In its first edition, the manual addresses numerous issues facing health care lawyers and health care professionals including Medicare enrollment and certifications; sources of revenue-payment for hospital services; addressing fraud and abuse regulations; hospital-physician alignment strategies; patient relations; integrated health systems; clinical research; labor and employment; antitrust; and risk management. AHLA describes the manual as a “critical guide for those who represent physicians, diagnostic imaging facilities, other health care facilities, as well as financial institutions.”
