A Ropes & Gray team advised Bain Capital in its acquisition of Camp Australia, a leading provider of before- and after-school care programs in Australia. Financial terms of the transaction, which was announced on Dec. 12, were not disclosed. The acquisition is the latest addition to Bain Capital’s education portfolio, and is expected to close in early 2017.
The cross-practice deal team included business & securities litigation partner Peter Welsh (Boston) and tax partner Elaine Murphy (Boston), as well as private equity associates Oliver Nip and Boxin Wang (both of Hong Kong); tax associate Benjamin Rogers (Boston), and senior business & securities litigation associate Steve Kaye (Boston).
