Ropes & Gray represented TPG in its definitive agreement with Intel Corporation to establish McAfee, a newly formed, jointly owned independent cybersecurity company. The transaction, which was announced Sept. 7, 2016 and was completed on April 4, 2017, creates one of the world’s largest pure-play cybersecurity firms.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Michael Roh (Boston) and included intellectual property transactions partners Edward Black (Boston) and Megan Baca (Silicon Valley).
