Ropes & Gray Seoul office members visited a non-profit training center in the Gangnam District in Seoul on May 23. The non-profit Miral Welfare Foundation operates the center, which provides job training for people with special needs. The center’s trainees receive income based on sales of bread they bake, flowers they arrange and package, and soaps that they make.
Intellectual property litigation counsel Hanyong Lee, Seoul office manager Rei Ha, practice development Korea lead EK Han, executive assistant Ellie Kim, receptionist Grace Kim, and practice development assistant Jenna Nam helped package over 2,000 soap bars, working side by side with trainees at the center. Seoul office members volunteered at the center in December 2016, and will continue to provide support during regular visits.
