Ropes & Gray represented Mediware Information Systems, Inc., a portfolio company of TPG Capital, in its acquisition of Kinnser Software, Inc. from Insight Venture Partners. Austin, Tex.-based Kinnser is the leading provider of software solutions for home health and hospice providers. Mediware, which was acquired by TPG in February, is a leading supplier of software as a service (SaaS) and other software platforms for non-acute care, human and social services, blood management and medication management.
The transaction, which was announced May 30, is expected to close at the end of the second quarter of 2017. Additional details were not disclosed.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Jason Freedman (San Francisco) and included finance partner Michael Lee (Boston), intellectual property transactions partner Megan Baca (Silicon Valley) and private equity associate Minh-Chau Le (San Francisco).
