Ropes & Gray Represents TSG Consumer Partners in Sunshine Fitness Acquisition of 31 Planet Fitness Clubs

Ropes & Gray represented TSG Consumer Partners in the purchase by TSG-backed Sunshine Fitness Growth Holdings, LLC of two franchise groups of Planet Fitness clubs in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The acquisitions, totaling 31 fitness clubs, include 20 locations across South Florida and the greater Charlotte area, and 11 clubs across North and South Carolina. The acquisitions nearly double Sunshine Fitness’s total club ownership to 64 clubs. Sunshine Fitness Growth Holdings is a leading owner and operator of Planet Fitness clubs in the Southeast United States. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
