Ropes & Gray has advised Genstar Capital - a leading US middle-market private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the healthcare, financial services, software, and industrial technology industries – on the acquisition of CRF Health, a leading global provider of eCOA solutions for the life sciences industry. The acquisition, by Bracket, a leading clinical-trial provider owned by Genstar Capital, was announced today and is subject to customary closing and regulatory approvals.
The newly combined organization will drive accelerated value for pharmaceutical companies and CRO customers, providing patient-centric solutions, combined with deep and broad therapeutic area expertise, across a strong and efficient global footprint. The deal follows Genstar Capital’s acquisition of Bracket, a leading scientifically-driven clinical trial technology and specialty services provider, in March 2017.
A cross-border and cross practice Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner John Newton in London, with finance partner Mike Lee in Boston leading on the debt aspects of the deal and tax partners Brenda Coleman, in London, and Leo Arnaboldi, in New York, providing tax structuring advice.
