Global law firm Ropes & Gray has appointed partner Greg Davis as co-managing partner of its San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices, to co-lead the offices with partner Raj Marphatia. Mr. Davis, a partner in the asset management practice, has considerable experience with the formation and compliance maintenance of investment advisers and investment companies, the regular ongoing representation of registered investment companies’ boards of directors and the formation and ongoing representation of various privately offered investment pools. Mr. Marphatia, an asset management partner, has over 25 years of experience in the full spectrum of private investment funds, including buyout funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, fund of funds, and CBOs.
