In Chicago, Ropes & Gray summer associates and other volunteers from the firm, including Chicago office managing partner Laura Hoey, participated in a day of service at Cradles to Crayons. The event offers summer associates exposure to the nonlegal community service activities the firm organizes to benefit local nonprofits and causes. Cradles to Crayons provides children from newborns through age 12 with everyday essentials needed for home, school and play. According to its website, Cradles to Crayons works with more than 7,000 families, individuals, community groups and companies to serve over 30,000 children every year in Chicago.
