Ropes & Gray advised Bain Capital Double Impact in its C$70 million investment in HiMama, a childcare center software solutions provider. The transaction was announced on Nov. 18 in a press release.
Hi Mama, founded in Toronto in 2013, provides childcare centers with tools to more efficiently manage staff and class scheduling, tuition billing, payments and classroom learning activities. Bain Capital Double Impact is the impact investing strategy of Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm.
The team that represented Bain Capital Double Impact was led by private equity partner Charlie Boer and included benefits partners Renata Ferrari and Megan Bisk, tax partner Pamela Glazier (all of Boston) and data, privacy & cyber security partner Edward McNicholas (Washington, D.C.).
