Ropes & Gray Advises Silver Lake and Weld North Education in Acquisition of Winsor Learning

Ropes & Gray advised Silver Lake and its portfolio company Weld North Education in the add-on acquisition of Winsor Learning, a producer of supplemental literacy products. Weld North Education, a digital education technology company, operates Imagine Learning and announced the transaction on February 9 in a press release. Terms were not disclosed.

Silver Lake is a global technology investment firm, with more than $88 billion in combined assets under management and committed capital and a team of professionals based in North America, Europe and Asia. In 2018, Silver Lake acquired a majority stake in Weld North Education and aimed to accelerate long-term growth initiatives to serve the rapidly changing technology demands in education. The acquisition of Winsor Learning will continue to support growth and innovation in preK-12 digital learning curricula.
