Nichole Lopez-Tackett, a finance partner in the Chicago office, discussed her experience in the legal profession on a panel for DePaul University College of Law’s First Generation in Law Scholars Program.
Nichole, a graduate of the law school, will be mentoring two aspiring lawyers from a cohort of 10 college freshmen throughout their first three years in college. The program provides rising freshmen, sophomores and juniors with an immersive, holistic experience that introduces them to law school, the legal profession and the practice of law.
The program was founded in 2022 by two DePaul alumni to create a pipeline to law school for first-generation students. Nichole is one of five attorney mentors involved in this year’s program.
The panel took place on Thursday, June 29, and more information on the program can be found here.
