The Brown–University of Pennsylvania football game on Friday, October 27, honors history with a Ropes & Gray connection.
The October 27 game marks 50 years since senior counsel Dennis Coleman quarterbacked Brown against a Penn squad led by quarterback Martin Vaughn. That contest was the first-ever Ivy League football game to feature two Black starting quarterbacks.
Coleman and Vaughn will be honored for their historic achievement prior to the game, and both will participate in the pregame coin toss. The Brown–Penn matchup will be televised on ESPNU, starting at 7pm ET.
