In a Managing Intellectual Property article, IP litigation partner Matt Rizzolo discussed patent trends to watch in 2024 including intellectual property disputes going global.
Matt explains that more patent litigation is now being fought across continents. He said that even when IP disputes are between two U.S.-based companies, plaintiffs may file a case abroad if it is easier to get an injunction there. He notes the value of law firms employing attorneys with specialized knowledge of a foreign jurisdiction, even if they are not based there.
