In an article published by Responsible Investor, litigation & enforcement partner Amy Roy said she would expect companies to focus on asset manager proxy voting and engagement efforts, as it relates to climate-related investment issues.
Amy said that attorney general investigations would likely “continue plugging along” at a slow pace. She also noted that all eyes will be on several cases in the courts, including those pending against three New York City pension funds in New York and American Airlines in Texas.
“As we start to see the courts weigh in, we’ll see how this impacts both the motivation of the regulators to continue actively pursuing these investigations and how asset managers act in response.”
