Ropes & Gray advised Blue Stream Fiber and its majority investor, GI Partners, in an investment in Blue Stream by Sixth Street. The transaction was announced on February 13 in a press release. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Blue Stream Fiber provides 10 gigabit broadband, as well as video and voice services, over state-of-the-art fiber-optic networks to housing associations and neighborhoods under long-term, contracted bulk service agreements. Since GI Partners’ acquisition of Blue Stream Fiber in 2020, the Company has grown rapidly throughout Florida.
Founded in 2021, GI Partners is a private investment firm with offices in San Francisco, New York, Dallas, Chicago, Greenwich, Scottsdale and London.
This team was led by private equity partners Brandon Howald and Kate Withers, and included tax partner Benjamin Rogers, executive compensation & employee benefits partner Kyle Higley, data, privacy & cybersecurity partner Fran Faircloth, and capital markets partner Thomas Fraser.
