Ropes & Gray has advised global investment company Sixth Street on a new joint venture with Starwood Capital in respect of an investment in a €258 million Italian retail portfolio held by IGD.
The portfolio comprises eight hypermarkets, three supermarkets and two shopping malls located across Italy and the underlying investment will be undertaken in conjunction with IGD through a closed-end real estate investment fund (REIF) set up and managed by Prelios SGR.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by PERE partner Will Bryant and senior associate Joey Patchitt. Other members of the team included tax partner Chris Agnoli.
