The private equity fundraising environment has been generally sluggish in 2024, however several funds have recently closed and experts note that the tides might be turning.
Asset management partner Jon Rash spoke with PitchBook about the market, noting that “the mood has started to trend more positively over the past few months. We’re doing funds now for clients that are oversubscribed.”
While the bulk of inflows—particularly in PE and secondaries—over the past few years have gone to mega-funds, Jon said the cases crossing his desk aren’t exclusively vehicles valued above $5 billion.
