Ropes & Gray Represents EQT Private Equity Asia in Acquisition of WSO2

Ropes & Gray advised EQT Private Equity Asia in its agreement to acquire WSO2, a leading provider of digital technologies including application development and identity and access management enterprise software. The transaction was announced on May 3 and is expected to close in the second half of 2024. Financial terms were not disclosed.

With this transaction, BPEA Private Equity Fund VIII is expected to be 45-50 percent invested (including closed and/or signed investments, announced public offers, if applicable, and less any expected syndication).

EQT is a global investment organization with EUR 242 billion in total assets under management (EUR 132 billion in fee-generating assets under management), within two business segments – Private Capital and Real Assets. EQT owns portfolio companies and assets in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
