Recent data from PitchBook shows private equity firms globally raised $293 billion in this year’s first six months, while private-equity managers raised $577 billion.
Asset management partner Debra Lussier spoke with The Wall Street Journal PE Pro about the market, sharing that she is seeing more sponsors preparing to launch new funds, as well as more investors performing due diligence on new vehicles, than at any time during the past 18 months or so.
“There is a new level of energy around fundraising and an expectation that things will rebound in the short term,” Debra said.
