M&A partner Emily Oldshue was quoted in an Aug. 21 story in The National Law Journal on how law firms are approaching M&A dealmaking ahead of the presidential election this November.
“I don’t think folks are sitting and waiting the way that they sometimes do at this point in an election year, particularly where it’s a bit of a mixed bag across the two campaigns in terms of where they would come out on policies that matter for M&A,” Emily said.
Emily added: “we don’t know which key sectors folks will focus on or what sectors will be hot and therefore gain political attention. But I think there are a lot of reasons to think that there would be pros and cons to each of the administrations.”
