Ropes & Gray represented VMG Partners and [solidcore], a national network of fitness studios providing targeted strength training on custom-built reformers, in its sale to investment firm, L Catterton. The announcement was made in a Sept. 25 press release. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2005, VMG Partners invests in, and provides strategic guidance to, founder-led, entrepreneurial teams across the food and beverage, beauty, pet, wellness, and fitness categories.
This team was led by private equity partner Dan Cowan and associate Lucy Corrigan and also included tax partner Pam Glazier, executive compensation & employee benefits partner Kyle Higley, mergers & acquisitions partner Chris Comeau, and litigation & enforcement partner Dan McCaughey and finance partner Daniel Coyne.
