In a Law360 article, health care partner Margaux Hall, who leads the firm’s drug pricing and price reporting group, discussed federal policy reform initiatives for pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), who serve as intermediaries between pharmacies, drugmakers and insurers.
“Across the board, there is increasing scrutiny of whether and how PBMs are contributing to high costs for drugs, and high costs for patients at the pharmacy counter. I think employers are pushing back because they want to manage their health insurance costs,” said Margaux.
