Ropes & Gray has been named as one of eight law firms with the best associates, according to a report by BTI Consulting Group that was highlighted in Law360.

The consulting firm surveyed corporate counsel and asked which law firm associates stand out the most. According to BTI president Michael Rynowecer in Law360, the top law firms distinguish themselves by offering associates meaningful opportunities to work closely with clients and impress them.

“We’re delighted—but not surprised—that Ropes & Gray associates have such a sterling reputation, because it confirms what we have always thought:  we have, without a doubt, the best associates in the business,” said Ropes & Gray chair Brad Malt. “We hear all the time from our clients that our associates are a differentiating factor that puts us ahead of our peer firms. They are impressed with the quality of our associates’ work, the superb service they provide, and their ability to find solutions to the most pressing problems.”

The honor is the latest in an impressive list of accolades over the last year, many of which take associate satisfaction into account. Most recently, Ropes & Gray was ranked number two on The American Lawyer’s “A-List,” which bases rankings on firm performance, pro bono work, associate satisfaction, diversity and, for the first time this year, gender diversity. The firm also received top rankings for diversity and workplace satisfaction in this year’s Vault guide, which named the firm, for the seventh consecutive year, as the best for formal training programs for associates.
