Ropes & Gray Profiled in The American Lawyer for Winning Pharma and Health Care Corporate Practice of the Year

A collaborative approach to advising health care and life sciences clients worldwide earned Ropes & Gray honors as The American Lawyer 2024 Industry Awards Corporate Practice of the Year in the Pharma and Health Care category. The firm previously received the award in 2022. The award recognizes a firm that is leading impactful and innovative legal work in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

An American Lawyer profile article noted that Ropes & Gray has advised on transformative “mega deals” in the healthcare and life sciences sectors and guided 1Life Healthcare, Inc. (One Medical) in its $3.9 billion sale to Amazon, Signify Health in its $8 billion sale to CVS. The firm also advised Pfizer in its $11.6 billion acquisition of Biohaven Pharmaceuticals and Immunogen in its $10.1 billion sale to AbbVie.

Additionally, the firm was recognized for facilitating over 110 complex licensing and collaboration deals, with a total value of $55 billion, including several top biopharmaceutical licensing deals in 2023.
