Ropes & Gray Honored as a Law360 “Private Equity Practice Group of the Year”

Law360 selected Ropes & Gray’s private equity practice as a 2024 “Private Equity Practice Group of the Year”, which recognizes the top attorney teams behind transformative deals that resonated throughout the legal industry in the past year.

The firm’s private equity practice was recognized for leading more than 234 private equity deals valued at a total of roughly $165 billion including TPG Capital’s  $7.5 billion purchase of AT&T's stake in DirecTV,  EQT Partners Inc.'s acquisition of Avetta LLC from Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe, and Bain Capital’s take-private acquisitions of Envestnet for $4.5 billion and PowerSchool Holdings for $5.6 billion.

David Blittner, PE partner and chair of the private equity transactions group, and Neill Jakobe vice chair of Ropes & Gray discussed the firm’s reputation for its dedication to client and effective deal execution.
