Maria and co-panelists Erica Sarubbi (Maeda, Ayres & Sarubbi, São Paulo), Jay Darden (Paul Hastings, Washington, DC) and Caio Rodriguez (Barros Pimentel, São Paulo) provided insights into the difficulties faced when reporting to and negotiating with multiple authorities, both within Brazil and with U.S. and other authorities. Panelists also discussed the challenges when managing the expectations of regulators across jurisdictions, as well as difficulties in obtaining legal certainty for their clients. Attendees included private practitioners and in-house counsel in Latin America’s business and legal markets.
