Health care associate David Peloquin (Boston) was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article published on May 28. The article addresses how a “patchwork” of privacy laws will impact medical studies across the United States.
Mr. Peloquin explains that as more states follow California in introducing consumer data protection laws, the burdens may increase for conducting medical research across state lines. He notes that a proliferation of privacy laws will make it more challenging for multi-state studies to obtain and process patent data.
