Ropes & Gray advised Advent International Corp, a global private equity investor, on its acquisition of Forescout Technologies Inc., a cybersecurity company which provides security technology for Internet-based devices. The transaction was announced on February 6. The press release is here.
Advent, in partnership with Crosspoint Capital Partners, will acquire all outstanding shares of Forescout common stock for $33.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.9 billion.

The firm has invested in more than 350 private equity transactions in 41 countries, and as of September 30, had $56.6 billion in assets under management. Crosspoint, a private equity investment firm focused on the cybersecurity and privacy industries, is a co-investor and advisor.
