Ropes & Gray advised Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in the formation of an innovative joint venture with Humana’s Partners in Primary Care. The venture will expand access to value-based primary care for Medicare patients and was announced on Feb. 3 in a press release.

WCAS and Humana are making a combined commitment of $600 million to the joint venture. WCAS will have majority ownership in the new company; Humana will own a small minority stake.
