Ropes & Gray represented Gentiva on health care matters related to an agreement to acquire Heartland hospice and home care agencies and locations from ProMedica, an integrated health care organization providing hospice and home care services through its Heartland brand. The transaction was announced on February 27. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Gentiva is a dedicated hospice, palliative and personal care company with over 30,000 associates and caregivers taking care of more than 24,000 patients in over 430 locations across 36 states.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by health care partner Tim McCrystal and included health care associate Emma Kaufman.
