Ropes & Gray advised TPG in the sale of majority stake in Creative Artists Agency (CAA), to Artémis, a French holding company whose portfolio includes global luxury brands in arts, fashion, publishing, sports and technology. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The announcement was made in a press release on September 7.
TPG is a leading global alternative asset management firm, founded in San Francisco in 1992, with $139 billion of assets under management and investment and operational teams around the world.
The Ropes & Gray team that advised TPG was led by private equity partner Jason Freedman and associate Reed Harasimowicz, tax partners Adam Greenwood, Ben Rogers and counsel Tristan Evans-Wilent, and finance partner Scott Rolnik.
