Private Equity International Shortlists Ropes & Gray for 2019 Law Firm of the Year in Multiple Categories

Private Equity International has named Ropes & Gray as a finalist in multiple categories in its 2019 Annual Awards. Winners will be decided through a poll open to the market that closes on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.  

Ropes & Gray is shortlisted in the following categories:

• Law firm of the year in North America—Fund Formation
  Shortlisted for advising on more than 100 fund formation mandates in the last year, including TSG Consumer Partners' $4 billion eighth fund and Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe's $4.3 billion 13th fund.
• Law Firm of the Year in North America—Transactions
  Shortlisted for advising on private equity transactions worth a combined $91 billion in the last twelve months. The firm worked with a number of high-profile clients, including Bain Capital, Advent International and the Audax Group.
• Law firm of the year in the Americas—Secondaries
  Shortlisted for our involvement in many preferred equity transactions over the past 12 months, including the counsel of Thomas H. Lee Partners on its $900 million fund restructuring and the representation of four buyers on the recapitalization of a US growth tech fund worth $1.5 billion.
• Law firm of the year in Asia—Secondaries
  Shortlisted for advising an Asian sovereign wealth fund on a multi-billion sale of LP portfolio interests and representing at least two other Asia-Pacific SWFs on LP portfolio sales.
