Nancy Attalla joined Ropes & Gray's IP litigation practice group in 2021. Nancy’s practice focuses on patent infringement litigation and trade secret litigation. Her experience in patent prosecution gives her a holistic understanding of patent disputes both in district court and the PTAB. She is well versed in district court claim construction proceedings, managing discovery, and taking depositions. She maintains an active practice in the PTAB, preparing strategic petitions and declarations.

Nancy also maintains a strong pro bono practice assisting individuals receive asylum status and protecting indigent residents of the San Francisco Bay Area from landlord harassment.

During law school, Nancy served as a patent prosecution intern at Samsung Research America, as well as a research assistant to several professors, including Professor Colleen Chien, one of the leading authorities and most-cited scholars in intellectual property law.
