Mohammed S. Hassan (Moe) is an associate in the litigation & enforcement practice group. Moe returned to the firm in 2023 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable James M. Wicks of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
During law school, Moe interned for the Honorable Denise L. Cote of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York and the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Moe served as a senior articles editor on the editorial board of the St. John's Law Review, and competed internally and externally in, as well as served as a judge for, moot court competitions as a Senior Member of the Moot Court Honor Society. Moe also worked as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing, Constitutional Law, and Introduction to Law.
Moe was an active student leader in the diversity & inclusion space, having served on the Dean’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion, co-founded the First Generation Professionals Group, and co-founded and chaired the Diversity & Inclusion Committees of both the St. John's Student Bar Association and St. John's Law Review as well as the Affinity Group Alliance sub-committee of the Student Bar Association.
Moe was invited to serve as the student speaker for St. John's Law 2020 convocation ceremony, was awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, and graduated cum laude as a recipient of the Chief Judge Edward D. Re Commencement Award, for which he was selected by the Dean based on outstanding scholarship and service.
