Lisa McJohn joined Ropes & Gray's corporate department in 2017. She practices primarily in the area of private equity transactions and private investment funds.
Lisa regularly represents private equity sponsors and other investors in leveraged buyouts, strategic M&A and similar transactions, as well as in add-on and minority investments, across a variety of industries. She also has experience assisting portfolio companies address a variety of legal needs, including general corporate matters and management compensation and equity arrangements.
Lisa also represents asset management clients in co-investments transactions, where she is able to provide assistance in relation to both transactional and fund-related matters, and has assisted clients with the formation and operation of private investment funds investing in the health care and real estate sectors.
During law school, Lisa worked as an intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts, the Iowa Attorney General, the Massachusetts Land Court, and the Office of the General Counsel of Harvard University. While an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, she also interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Illinois Attorney General.
