Merry Sheehan is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s corporate practice group. She practices primarily in the firm’s private equity group representing private equity firms and strategic investors in M&A transactions and minority investments.
During law school, Merry was a fellow in the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy project, during which she taught constitutional law at New Mission High School in Hyde Park, MA. Merry also served as a judicial intern at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Superior Court. Following law school, Merry served as a law clerk to Justice Kimberly S. Budd on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and Justice Joseph A. Trainor on the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

- Represented Advent International in a highly expedited Delaware litigation regarding its $2 billion acquisition of Forescout Technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The litigation focused on the application of a “material adverse effect” clause in light of Forescout’s performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
