Ropes & Gray has advised Dutch pension fund APG Asset Management on its €450 million joint venture with the US-based Hines Group to develop and retain 1,221 fully serviced ‘build-to-rent’ apartments, alongside shops and cafes, in Cherrywood – a new town development in south Dublin, Ireland.
The overall Cherrywood scheme, in the borough of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, comprises a 400-acre project, that will have more than 7,700 new homes, six schools, three parks and leisure facilities, together with a light rail system, helping to bring the planned population up to 25,000.
The Ropes & Gray team - all based in London - included tax partner Brenda Coleman, antitrust partner Ruchit Patel, real estate associate Will Bryant and tax associate Chris Agnoli.
