María González Calvet will be speaking at “GIR Live: Annual Investigations Meeting DC” on March 13 in Washington, D.C., a conference that brings together leading practitioners to discuss pressing issues in the investigations landscape.
María is co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s anti-corruption and international risk practice and Latin America practice. She will serve on a panel titled “Challenges and Opportunities from a Focus on Individual Accountability.” The session will address topics that include the focus on individual accountability and its impact on shaping government and internal investigations. Additionally, the discussion will focus on the impact of the DOJ’s whistleblower pilot programs on individual accountability. Joining María on the panel are Lorinda Laryea, Principal Deputy Chief of Fraud at the DOJ, and Edward O'Callaghan, partner at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP.
