Ropes & Gray has advised Partners Group as an anchor investor acting on behalf of its clients – alongside Brookfield Asset Management – in a new €550 million continuation fund raised by Lanza Capital (formerly known as Firmum Capital) focused on acquiring and operating car parks in Spain.
The fund, one of the largest continuation funds raised in Spain to date, has acquired 110 off-street car parks at the first closing, with more than 43,000 parking spaces across Spain. In addition to the portfolio acquired, the fund has additional capital for new acquisitions.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by asset management partners Tom Alabaster and Chris Townsend with support from tax partner Andrew Howard, senior counsel Peter Rosenberg, associates Valerio Vitelli, Madalina Asandului, Stefanie Kleefstra (secondee) and Reagan Haas and paralegals Olivia Raney, Michelle Pantaleo and Eloise Edwards-Hedges.
