Ropes & Gray represented Advent International in a minority investment in Fisher Investments, valuing Fisher Investments at $12.75 billion. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is also investing separately in the financing. The total investment will be at least $2.5 billion and up to $3 billion. The transaction was announced in a June 16 press release.
Advent International, a global private equity firm with 420 private equity investments across 43 countries, had $94 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2023.
This deal was led by private equity partners Matt Richards, Christian Westra and Annie Sipe and associates Konrad Thallner and Merry Sheehan, and included tax partner Eric Behl-Remijan, asset management partners Greg Davis, Eve Ellis, Jessica Reece, and Brynn Rail, finance partners Byung Choi and Andrea Hwang, antitrust partner Ruchit Patel, IP transactions partners Jordan Altman and Erica Han, executive compensation & employee benefits partners Jenny Rikoski Whitney and Josh Lichtenstein, mergers & acquisitions partner Ariel Deckelbaum, employment partner Megan Bisk, litigation & enforcement partner Jim Dowden, and data, privacy & cybersecurity partner Fran Faircloth.
