At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ropes & Gray launched Cafecito con Ropes & Gray, a five-part series of casual, Chatham House Rule virtual roundtable discussions addressing anti-bribery and anti-corruption concerns for businesses operating in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last two years, panelists have shared their experiences and insights navigating some of the region’s toughest concerns, examining: elevated bribery and fraud risks, ensuring compliance as usual without business as usual, sanctions and export considerations for suppliers of COVID-19 relief items, data privacy concerns, and trends in criminal tax enforcement. Last year, Ropes & Gray’s anti-corruption and international risk attorneys discussed their experiences navigating COVID-19 in Latin America and made forward-looking risk assessments for companies as they prepared for the global shift towards post-pandemic recovery.
Now that two years have passed since the onset of the pandemic, Ropes & Gray would like to invite you to join a panel of highly recognized practitioners based in Latin America, including from Brazil, Mexico, and Chile, as they consider the evolving post-pandemic enforcement landscape, evaluate current trends, and discuss effective practices for navigating the challenges of the last several years.
To learn more, please visit our Enforcement Express web-based tool, which offers resources, interactive maps, and thought leadership relating to corruption risks and enforcement environments across Latin America and worldwide.
