At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ropes & Gray launched Cafecito con Ropes & Gray, a five-part series of casual, Chatham House Rule virtual roundtable discussions addressing anti-bribery and anti-corruption concerns for businesses operating in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last two years, panelists have shared their experiences and insights navigating some of the region’s toughest concerns, examining: elevated bribery and fraud risks, ensuring compliance as usual without business as usual, sanctions and export considerations for suppliers of COVID-19 relief items, data privacy concerns, and trends in criminal tax enforcement.
