Ropes & Gray represented Genstar Capital and Advarra in the sale of a majority stake in Advarra to Blackstone and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Genstar and Linden Capital Partners will continue as equity holders in Advarra as will the company’s management. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The announcement was made on June 10 in a press release.
Advarra is a leading provider of regulatory, quality, and compliance solutions and clinical trial technologies in the life sciences sector. Genstar is a leading private equity firm based in San Francisco that currently has approximately $35 billion of assets under management.
