Ropes & Gray represented Magna Legal Services and CIVC Partners in the sale of Magna, a litigation support services provider, to Odyssey Investment Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction was announced on Oct. 19 in a press release and is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

With a national footprint serving clients in all 50 states, Magna provides critical support services to clients through the litigation process, including court reporting, translation, videography, records retrieval, jury evaluation and consulting, graphic design, and trial presentation services.
CIVC Partners is a Chicago-based private equity firm established in 1970 to provide growth capital to entrepreneurs and founders. Since 1989, CIVC has invested over $2 billion in 76 platforms along with founders and executives in middle market companies.
