Beverly Cheng joined Ropes & Gray in 2019 and is an associate in the corporate department. Beverly represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, strategic investments and dispositions. Beverly's practice also includes advising clients on general corporate and governance matters. 

During law school, Beverly served as a member of the Fordham Law Review and completed an internship at John Hancock. Prior to joining the firm, Beverly was a corporate paralegal in the New York office of an international law firm.

  • Represented American Industrial Partners in its sale of EnTrans International, a premier North American manufacturer of tank trailers and transportation solutions, to TerraVest Industries.
  • Represented Coalesce Capital in its acquisition of Pearl Meyer, a provider of executive compensation and leadership & development consulting services, benchmarking data and surveys.
  • Represented New Mountain Capital in its strategic investment in Consor, a North American provider of transportation and water infrastructure engineering and consulting services.
  • Represented Bain Capital Double Impact in its investment in TeachTown, a provider of evidence-based education curriculum software for students with autism and special needs, and its subsequent sale of TeachTown to L Squared Capital Partners.
  • Represented American Industrial Partners in its acquisition of Veoneer Restraint Control Systems, an automotive technology company and world leader in automotive electronic safety systems, from affiliates of SSW Partners.
  • Represented CCMP Growth Advisors in connection with the formation of its portfolio company Omnia Exterior Solutions, a provider of residential roofing solutions and exterior remodeling services, and its various add-on acquisitions, including Ace Roofing, Brothers Services Company, HUF Construction, and SMA Support Services.
  • Represented TPG Capital in its sale of Immucor, a provider of transfusion and transplantation diagnostic products, to Werfen for approximately $2 billion.
  • Represented Partners Group in its acquisition of Foundation Risk Partners, a specialist insurance broker in the U.S., from Warburg Pincus.
  • Represented Harvest Partners in its acquisition of Fortis Solutions Group, a leading converter of pressure sensitive labels and label applicators, from Main Post Partners.
  • Represented TPG Capital in its acquisition of a majority stake in Nintex, a developer of integrated workflow automation software, from Thoma Bravo, and Nintex’s subsequent acquisition of Kryon, a provider of robotic process automation (RPA).
